Welcome to the West Mat-Su Access Project
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough, through the
Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF),
has begun a project to provide transportation access to the Fish
Creek Management Area (see map). The project is currently in the
environmental phase, which involves conducting environmental analysis
under the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act
(NEPA) and identifying a range of design alternatives to be considered.
The Borough has hired a team of specialists, headed by Lounsbury
and Associates, to help with this work.
To ensure that all factors are considered as the project progresses,
the project team is seeking input from people with knowledge of or
interest in the area. If you are a nearby resident, business owner,
or land owner, or if you are familiar with the Fish Creek Management
Area from recreational, hunting, or fishing use, we want to hear
from you.
This web site is a place to share your thoughts, find out about
public participation opportunities, and learn about the project as
it progresses.
